3/8" SOURCE TUBES AND EXTENSIONS
These lightweight source tubes provide a semi-flexible source positioning system with a smooth vinyl exterior. The fittings are crimped to the tubing to provide maximum strength.
We manufacture these tubes for all devices that use 3/8" tubes.
We can produce a source tube for any Iridium exposure device using SPEC fittings and adaptors or copies of Tech Ops style fittings.
The maximum length of a tube is 21'. We will manufacture sizes ranging from 1' to 21'.
1/2" O.D. STAINLESS STEEL RIGID AND J-TUBES
We construct our stainless steel tubes out of 304 stainless steel.
These rigid tubes can be used in conjunction with the yellow vinyl flexible tubes to assist in setting up a difficult shot. The tube can also be adapted for use directly on an exposure device.
We manufacture these tubes for all devices that use 3/8" tubes.
We can produce a source tube for any Iridium exposure device using SPEC fittings and adaptors or copies of Tech Ops style fittings.
The maximum length of a tube is 14'. We will manufacture sizes ranging from 2" to 14'. Custom orders are possible.LOW-TEMPERATURE SOURCE TUBE
The low-temperature source tube is designed specifically for cold weather conditions. The tube can withstand temperatures up to -70°F and remain flexible.
We manufacture these tubes for all devices that use 3/8" tubes.
We can produce a source tube for any Iridium exposure device using SPEC fittings and adaptors or copies of Tech Ops style fittings.
The maximum length of a tube is 21'. We will manufacture sizes ranging from 1' to 21'.
COMPLIANCE
SPEC source tubes meet the ANSI N432-1980 standard. Tube fittings include markings that signify meeting the ANSI standard.

THE ADVANTAGES OF COLLIMATORS
Collimators are one of the most effective means available for reducing the radiation levels on a job site. Collimators also increase the quality of radiography shots by reducing the amount of scatter radiation that reaches the film. Collimators help reduce your restricted area and aid in obtaining As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) radiation levels. This translates into safer operating conditions for radiographers.
 
 
WHY USE TUNGSTEN?
Because tungsten is a more effective shielding material than lead and is an easy-to-handle, non-licensed material, it makes a very effective shielding material. Another feature of the tungsten collimator is that it does not spark, so it is ideal for plant operations. In addition to the standard collimators listed at right, SPEC can build a collimator to your specifications.

Model 880 series source projectors are used for industrial applicationsof gamma radiography to inspect materials and structures in thedensity range of approximately 2.71 g/cm³ through 8.53 g/cm³.
SENTINEL^TM Model 880 Delta, 880 Elite and 880 Omega source projectors are portable, lightweight and compactindustrial radiographic exposure devices. The patenteddevice body consists of a titanium ‘S’ tube and castdepleted uranium (DU) shield contained within a 300series stainless steel tube with stainless steel discs weldedat each end forming a cylinder shaped housing. The discsare recessed to provide protection for the rear mountedlocking mechanism and front mounted outlet port.
The horizontally oriented design allows the locking mechanism, sourceassembly connector and outlet port to be easily operated, simplifyingconnection of source guide tubes and remote controls.
EXPOSURE DEVICE The exposure device body, containing the DU shield, locking mechanism, outlet port, protective covers and requiredlabels*, comprises the radioactive material transport Type B(U) package.
REMOVABLE JACKET An impact resistant plastic jacket surrounds the exposure device to protect labels and provide the means for carrying andplacement during radiographic operations. The three models are identified by jacket color; yellow for the 880 Delta, blue for the 880 Elite and orange for the 880 Omega.
